I have been trying to create and save a post twice but to no avail it can not be saved. What exactly happened?Let me try to update this later.

Happy Near Year everyone! The last two weeks of December has been really hectic for me. I am infront of the computer for almost 24 hours a day but just could not find time to write new articles for this blog.

And I thought I was going to end 2009 with no further mishaps. Sad to say that was not the case. I was held at gunpoint last December 28 while I was waiting for the shuttle to pick me up. The shuttle was late and two men riding a motorcycle approached me. The driver was asking me for the time while the passenger jumperd at me and had a gun pointed at my head. They got my bag and my cellphone. Drat! My mom gave me that cellphone as an early Christmas gift since my previous phone was stolen in the office. I had the phone for less than a month and now I’m back to being phoneless again. The bag the holdappers took was also one of my favorites. I lost some money and my entire make up kit full of branded and rarely used make up! And my favorite cologne and perfume. My perfume alone costs more than my cellphone. One wonders if the holdappers will throw away the bag after getting the phone and money or will they give it to their spouses or girlfriends.

I’m just grateful that aside from pointing the gun and actually feeling its butt in my forehead, they did not harm me. I often hear cases where the holdappers will also hurt their victims and I’m glad that did not happen to me. As it is, I almost had a nervous breakdown and could not sleep for two days… What a way to end 2009!

Moving ahead, I’m so excited of what 2010 has in store for me. 2009 has been the absolute pits for me. It was full of disappointments, frustrations, heartbreaks, betrayals, broken promises and sickness! My kids were in and out of the hospital for the whole year but thank God nothing really catastrophic happened. But I emerged stronger and better and I know that no matter what God has in store for me in the coming years, I’m better equipped in handling my life. Cheers everyone! May 2010 be a frutiful year for us all!

2010

2009 has been the absolute pits for me. It was too full of frustrations, disappointments, betrayals, heartaches and broken promises. My kids have been in and out of the hospital for the past year. But whatever it is, 2009 has made me a better and stronger person equipped to tackle whatever challenges 2010 has in store for me.

Talking about misfortune, I ended 2009 with a holdup. I was held up at gunpoint on the night of 28th while I was waiting for the company shuttle to pick me up for work. Two guys riding a motorcyle stopped me with the passenger pointing the gun to my head while getting my bag. They got my phone, wallet, some money, makeup kit full of branded and rarely used make up and my favorite perfume and cologne. Oh and a bottle of insect spray that I have just gotten from my co-worker in the office and never had the chance to use. Despite it all, I was just grateful that they did not hurt me in any way and they failed to get my jewelry and expensive watch. What they were after was just my bag. For two days after that, I still have trouble sleeping. Probably, I’m just still raw from the experience. I still have to go to the police station to have a police blotter.

All in all, I’m glad 2009 is now a thing in the past. I’m looking forward to 2010! Cheers everyone!

WorkingMuhm is in Cebu

I am currently based in Cebu and I have started work with a new company whose business is so different from my previous work. Although Cebu is technically near CDO, the cultural differences are so noticeable. I am still adjusting to everything but I am very thankful that I have a very wonderful support group here. Right now, I am in the process of looking for a place to stay here in Cebu. I couldn’t be a freeloader all the time here since I am staying for free here in Pat and Dino’s abode. Although, in return, I do most of the cooking here. I am looking for a place near Fuente Osmenia and I sincerely hope that I could find a place nearer to my work, which is in the heart of the city.

Work is great although I am still adjusting to the business itself. It keeps me busy but the work load is not as toxic as my previous work. The staff is few as well and though it is not a call center, it still follows American time since the main office is based in Pennsylvania. My colleagues are friendly as well.

Finally, I am so excited….5 days from now will be my bestfriend’s wedding. I haven’t personally received the invitation yet but I can show you the soft copy of the invitation.

Last but not the least, today is election day and I hope we choose officials who will serve us. Let us vote with our conscience.

Working Muhm at 31

I will be turning 31 tomorrow and I have made a lot of life-altering decisions lately. I have just resigned from my job as a Call Center Supervisor. I have been with that company for almost 5 years but I guess it’s time for me to spread my wings. I am thankful that I get to spend some time with my kids before I leave for greener pastures. Right now I am catching on some lost zzzzsssss and doing some article rewrites to compensate for the lost income. That’s what I should be doing now but for the life of me, I could not muster enough creativity to write about gift baskets or psychic healing right now so I decided to do some seague to kill time.

Turning 31 is no biggie. I had a joint celebration with Dion though in Hongkong last year for my 30th bday. I have absolutely no plans of doing any celebration at all tomorrow. I just want some time with my kids.
