Davao Getaway
March 1, 2010I almost backed out of this trip but could not find enough plausible excuses to bail me out…hehehehe….so, on a warm and sunny Friday morning, Workingmuhm with bestfriend Zen, Mareng Merbee and co-org members Melanie and Keissy left for Davao. The trip was really tiring since we rode a bus going to Davao (the trip was around seven hours) and the numerous stops ( 4 stops in all) made the trip longer. Good thing most of us were able to catch some zzzzsss while we were sleeping though we tried to watch some scenes from Bangkok Dangerous, The Dark Knight and Blood Diamonds….we finally arrived at 4PM and one of the past presidents of Davao Jaycees, Nick, had his driver pick us up at the terminal and we were really famished by then since we decided to skip lunch and had it in Davao. To our surprise, most of the restaurants were closed from 2PM to 5PM. I think we went to 5 establishments before we settled in Ah Fat. And what a surprise! Just as we were seated, we experienced a rather strong earth quake, though most of us thought that we were dizzy with hunger. hehehehe…While we were eating, Drew, arrived. I’ve met Drew when the Davao Jaycees went to CDO for our induction and we were just returning the favor.
He then left us at Davao’s Crown Regency and much to our pleasure and surprise, the accommodations were really comfortable and luxurious since we were given one of their bigger apartelles, the family villa. It’s great thatZen could pull some favors as an owner of a tarvel agency and we took advantage of it. Zen and I stayed at the Master’s bedroom while the rest of the girls got the bigger room with the terrace.
We were a little late going to Grand Regal where the Induction was going to be held. We had to pass the casino going to the function room and they were already eating when we arrived. Their induction ended late (around 12 midnight) as well then another JCI Davao member, Bernie, took us to Cups and Lower Case in Torres Street and that’s when the serious fun really begins. All of us had a rolling time and all of us got really wasted…Beer, Gilbey’sGPS and Jose Cuervo were abundant. The party really ended at 6 in the morning when four of the Davao Jaycees (including Pres. Robbie) left our apartelle….What fun we really had!

What’s up with me?
February 21, 2010I had my fitting with Benjie S. Manual for my maid of honor dress for Zeny’s wedding this May. I love the color but I’m not sure if I will be able to give justice to the dress that Benjie is making for me. I’m still far from my ideal weight for the wedding and it’s all my fault. I just couldn’t stop eating. hehehe. It’s rest day finally for me and I spent the better part of the morning doing early spring cleaning. I got rid of all the clothes we do not want.
I find it so funny that just when I had a new computer and new ISP, I couldn’t blog as often as before. This really boggles the mind specially that I’m online all the time. February is almost over and I’m hoping to go to Davao on the 26th for the induction and a family outing in Valencia on the 27th…..Hmmmmm…..wonder if I could join these two events since I still have no idea what team I will be handling in Tuesday.
Just a quick review of the past three weeks of February: We had the TC party at Pryce Plaza on the 8th. My previous team and I got the award for Best LSO CSAT for December. I really miss the team and my former agents. We have truly bonded in the last four months and I was blessed to have them not only as my agents but as friends as well.
Anyway, going back to the TC Year end party, I had a blast with my co-TCs. I wondered though what happened to the quality of food in Pryce Plaza? It’s not as delicious as it used to be but at least the place was still nice.
Since I was transferred in the morning shift, I usually have breakfast in McDonalds with my colleagues and one day, we were able to pose for some pictures.
I then spent Valentines Day in the beach with my favorite Valentine-my kids! We had fun frolicking in the sun and enjoying the gastonomical delights available to tease our palettes.
Our org, the JCI- Bai Lawanen had a successful Valentines Day project, the Ballooney Kind of Love followed by the equally siuccessful GMM at Kylas entitled Wine and Unwind. One of the officers, Gean, celebrated her birthday and she brought with her Pancit Malabon. So yummy! Even though who took part of the Ash Wednesday mass were tempted and joined us in enjoying the food. Some of the girls also just got back from their Bangkok sojourn and so polvoron and sampalok from Thailand were overflowing.

February 3, 2010Facebook is so full of it and even the Chat Support in the office are having a contest as to whose AVATOR pics resemble the closest to them…….so why do people go gaga over it? My colleague, Leah, informed me to go to www.faceyourmanga.com to make the pic. My daughter Dion and I had so much fun doing it. We made 2 actually. One was my perception of my self. The other one, was what my daughter thinks that resemble me more. So what’s your choice?

But honestly, I don’t think they resemble me. lmao! I really have big eyes though.
Hey I’m back
January 24, 2010Nope…I did not go on a long vacation……I was not even out of the country the entire time I was not able to update my blogs….I was just incommunicado. It’s by choice. I just don’t have anything exciting to write about except I was just in and out of the hospitals the entire time for laboratory exams and such both as a patient and as the watcher.
January has not been good to me but hopefully February will be better. Right now, I am on sick leave again til the 30th due to tension migraines. I seriously think that this is really time for me to look for other options since I’ve been sick on and off since September and I’d be the first to admit that the industry I’m in right now is really toxic. I’m also a little bit sad that I will soon be handling another team. My agents for the past three months were really good and despit the short time with them, I have really bonded well with them. I was really blessed to have known seven wonderful agents who were so likable .My hats off to Amy, Mark, Dennis, Grax, Alex, Kiking and Bogart. Let’s not be sad guys. We will still push through with ur planned outing in Camiguin two weeks from now. I don’t break promises. Hopefully with the transition schedule, we will have more time for togsh2x………I promise you this that I will still be here for you guys. You can still run to me when you have problems.
