WorkingMuhm is in Cebu
May 10, 2010
I am currently based in Cebu and I have started work with a new company whose business is so different from my previous work. Although Cebu is technically near CDO, the cultural differences are so noticeable. I am still adjusting to everything but I am very thankful that I have a very wonderful support group here. Right now, I am in the process of looking for a place to stay here in Cebu. I couldn’t be a freeloader all the time here since I am staying for free here in Pat and Dino’s abode. Although, in return, I do most of the cooking here. I am looking for a place near Fuente Osmenia and I sincerely hope that I could find a place nearer to my work, which is in the heart of the city.
Work is great although I am still adjusting to the business itself. It keeps me busy but the work load is not as toxic as my previous work. The staff is few as well and though it is not a call center, it still follows American time since the main office is based in Pennsylvania. My colleagues are friendly as well.
Finally, I am so excited….5 days from now will be my bestfriend’s wedding. I haven’t personally received the invitation yet but I can show you the soft copy of the invitation.
Last but not the least, today is election day and I hope we choose officials who will serve us. Let us vote with our conscience.
And with this, I leave you with some of the pictures taken here in Cebu.
Working Muhm at 31
April 7, 2010
I will be turning 31 tomorrow and I have made a lot of life-altering decisions lately. I have just resigned from my job as a Call Center Supervisor. I have been with that company for almost 5 years but I guess it’s time for me to spread my wings. I am thankful that I get to spend some time with my kids before I leave for greener pastures. Right now I am catching on some lost zzzzsssss and doing some article rewrites to compensate for the lost income. That’s what I should be doing now but for the life of me, I could not muster enough creativity to write about gift baskets or psychic healing right now so I decided to do some seague to kill time.
Turning 31 is no biggie. I had a joint celebration with Dion though in Hongkong last year for my 30th bday. I have absolutely no plans of doing any celebration at all tomorrow. I just want some time with my kids.
So…to end this article, I have a series of photos of me taken over the years….

Happy 6TH Bday Dion Nicole Alexandra
My baby Dion had her 6th birthday last March 31. Since it was Holy Week, we decided to postpone the celebration to April 5. Dion had a joint celebration with her cousins Thea and Aming at Hotel Koresco. It was just a post-celebratory swimming party for cousins and close friends.
Hotel Koresco is one of the newer hotels here in CDO and it is situated in Pueblo de Oro Gulf and Country Club. The hotel itself is quite small but exclusive. We liked that. We were the only people there when we arrived around 2PM. We invited Ninong Lem and family and they were already there when we arrived since we had to drop by at Goldilocks to buy Dion’s cake. This is not actually a formal celebration of their birthdays, more of a get together. The fee for the swimming pool usage is only P120.00 and it is inclusive of a fried chicken meal. We brought 3 kinds of cakes for the birthday girls, hotdogs, marshmallows, shrimp balls, squid rolls, lumpia, empanada and liempo. Everybody was tired after hours of swimming but everybody had fun!
To my darling daughter Dion, I can’t believe you’re all grown now……you’re such a pretty, pretty girl and Mommy loves you very much! Stay sweet always!
Manny Paquiao won
March 14, 2010Again. But many people were disappointed. They were expecting and hoping for a knock out on the sixth round but unassuming Clottey stood firm in his defense and lasted 12 rounds, a feat that Diaz, Hatton, Cotto and the rest who fought Paquiao in the past never replicated. With the exception of the has-been boxer who won in a controversial decision in the first of three fights against the Pacman. For the life of me, I could not even remeber his name…..How sad…..
So who’s it gonna be, Manny?
BTW, I so love and covet Jinky Pacquiao’s bag. Hahay……
Davao Getaway
March 1, 2010I almost backed out of this trip but could not find enough plausible excuses to bail me out…hehehehe….so, on a warm and sunny Friday morning, Workingmuhm with bestfriend Zen, Mareng Merbee and co-org members Melanie and Keissy left for Davao. The trip was really tiring since we rode a bus going to Davao (the trip was around seven hours) and the numerous stops ( 4 stops in all) made the trip longer. Good thing most of us were able to catch some zzzzsss while we were sleeping though we tried to watch some scenes from Bangkok Dangerous, The Dark Knight and Blood Diamonds….we finally arrived at 4PM and one of the past presidents of Davao Jaycees, Nick, had his driver pick us up at the terminal and we were really famished by then since we decided to skip lunch and had it in Davao. To our surprise, most of the restaurants were closed from 2PM to 5PM. I think we went to 5 establishments before we settled in Ah Fat. And what a surprise! Just as we were seated, we experienced a rather strong earth quake, though most of us thought that we were dizzy with hunger. hehehehe…While we were eating, Drew, arrived. I’ve met Drew when the Davao Jaycees went to CDO for our induction and we were just returning the favor.
He then left us at Davao’s Crown Regency and much to our pleasure and surprise, the accommodations were really comfortable and luxurious since we were given one of their bigger apartelles, the family villa. It’s great thatZen could pull some favors as an owner of a tarvel agency and we took advantage of it. Zen and I stayed at the Master’s bedroom while the rest of the girls got the bigger room with the terrace.
We were a little late going to Grand Regal where the Induction was going to be held. We had to pass the casino going to the function room and they were already eating when we arrived. Their induction ended late (around 12 midnight) as well then another JCI Davao member, Bernie, took us to Cups and Lower Case in Torres Street and that’s when the serious fun really begins. All of us had a rolling time and all of us got really wasted…Beer, Gilbey’sGPS and Jose Cuervo were abundant. The party really ended at 6 in the morning when four of the Davao Jaycees (including Pres. Robbie) left our apartelle….What fun we really had!
